Memory Grand Challenge

October 2016

By Pam Schweitzer

The Memory Grand Challenge: Exploring links between reminiscence in dementia care and oral history was a seminar held in October 2016 at the University of Greenwich where the Oral History Society participated in the Training and Apprenticeship scheme in Reminiscence in Dementia Care. During this workshop Oral Historians such as Dvora Liberman, Sarah Gudgin and Padmini Broomfield, along with family carers discussed the results of their work, the significance it had to the families as well as what it meant for Oral Historians and what the outcome of combining the two entail in the future for dementia care.
